It’s a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic SP1000 in very good condition with that holiest of holy grails, the Asahi Super-Takumar 50mm 1.4 lens. I.e. It’s a verifiable unicorn!
Badged as Honeywell for the US & Canadian markets, where the mighty Honeywell were the sole distributors for Pentax all through the 1950s & 60s.
The camera is in remarkably good condition for its age and seems to be mechanically sound, albeit not battery tested. The lens is almost too beautiful to look at, with only a few specs of dust to speak of.
Very rare and very collectable indeed for Pentax aficionados. Not battery tested but then again, if you know what you’re looking at it then you know you need it…
