Metz Mecablitz 64 AF-1 Digital Flash - Nikon mount

The Metz Mecablitz 64 AF-1 Digital Flash (this one’s a Nikon mount) is an incredibly handy, unsurprisingly reliable, exciting piece of kit. And I can prove it. The whole thing’s a super compact hot-shoe package with a built-in sub-flash that can be used as a fill light when the main head is raised or swivelled for bounce applications. Beyond that, this flash boasts an impressive GN of 210 (max., in ft.) at ISO 100, with zoom capability out to 200mm and down to 24mm (12mm with the built-in diffuser).

If all of that sounds a bit dry, consider the Metz’ full-color, auto-rotating touch panel that makes operation something of a dream. Slight pressure from your finger activates any function, resulting in a very tidy interface with only three function buttons, including the on/off switch. In addition, there’s full support for Nikon’s wireless remote operation, making life SO much easier. See, I told you it was exciting.
