Koh Phangan Town Accomodation Things To Do Koh Phangan - Home Of The FULL MOON PARTY! The Full Moon Party is awesome and should not be missed if you are coming to Thailand. However, although it is famous for its party life, Koh Phangan has alot more to offer. Within 2 or 3 days after the party most people have left the island, leaving it a quiet place with plenty of beatiful un-crowded beaches to explore. I hired a motorbike the 1t time I was on the island and the 2nd day we had it we crashed going up the steep roads to Haad Rin with 3 people on the bike. The closest place we could go to tend to our wounds was a go-go bar - where the prostitutes were very friendly and dressed my legs for me and gave me a shit load of whiskey to numb the pain and shock. The next time I went back with Carl, we hired the slightly more offroad bikes with a clutch (which I would definately recommend for the steep hills). It is well worth getting a bike as you really can see alot of the island very cheaply. Had some quality times on Koh Phangan and took full advantage of the whiskey and buckets (1 small bottle of whiskey costs £1.20GBP). Carl and myself partied almost evernight and almost every morning saw the sun coming up out of the sea on Hadd Rin beach Ko Phangan is also a hell of alot cheaper and nicer than Ko Samui and also cheaper than Ko Tao making it the best island I have been to yet. Very Cheap. People who ran it took us into the forest 1 day to see how they collect fruit etc to sell at the market.
