Things To Do

Rotorua has won awards for the best town in the North Island - it was ok, nothing too special. There is always a constant smell of egg due to the thermals all over the area.
There is also quite alot of Mauri culture in the area (the pic below is in a Mauri village)

Very good place. Very good value. Close to town centre.

Things To Do
|
Zorbing
|
Roll down a big hill in a blow up human hampster ball filled with water!
Pretty cool, the aim is to run as the ball turns with you in it - this is impossible and you end up sliding around all over the place inside. Worth a go for only $35.

Thermal Mud Pools
|
Amazing how the earth sits bubbling away with boiling mud and steam. Absolutely stinks due to the sulphur.

The Luge
|
Basically a go-kart without an engine. You go as fast as you can downhill on a concrete circuit.
Well worth doing the Luge even if you have to pay for it, great invention...
(Better than the Queenstown one)
