Mae Salong Town Accomodation Things To Do A fairly quiet town high up in the hills and surrounded by fantastic scenery. The main trade in the town seems to be tea plantations. It also can get quite chilly up here in the night - a nice change if you have come from down south. Mai Salong is a nice place to chill out for a few days and get away from the tourists and probably a good place to base yourself to do some treks. Go to the 'Mae Salong Central Hills Restaurant' for good food and an amazing view while you eat. Also there is a nice temple right at the top of the hill which you have probably seen on the postcards, you can walk up to if you are moderately fit. We drove!
