Indian Pacific - Train Journey From Adelaide to Perth
Town Accomodation Things To Do

The cheapest way to get across the Nulabor ($155 if you have a VIP backpackers card). The journey takes 2 and a half days and is pretty boring and uncomfortable as you only have the seat you are sitting in to sleep in as well.

The staff on the train are complete jobs worth's. Sitting near us were 2 guys who bought 4 beers from the bar, they drank 2 of them and were about to go to sleep at 11 pm, when one of the staff came along and told them that their beers should have been opened by the bar staff. He then opened them himself and the guys had to drink them right then. The explanation that he gave was that there was no stock piling allowed! - Complete idiot

Along the way the train stops at a remote town called Cook which has a population of only 2!
