Hervey Bay Town Accomodation Things To Do The only real reason to go to Hervey bay is to stock up on beer and get to Fraser Island. There is not really much here - a few bars and a beach which is pretty average. We had a couple of good nights out at Crazy Banana Backpackers Bar where there always seemed to be specials on jugs of beer!
