Much quieter than expected. The snorkelling here was better than on the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns.
Miles of beautiful great deserted beaches and also loads of reef sharks close to the beach as there is a breeding ground there.
Good place to stop for 2 or 3 days if you are going up or down the coast.
This is also the place to see the whale sharks although we were ther in the wrong season.

Was pretty expensive for a campsite, so we paid for the first night, the stayed an extra night and left early the next morning without out paying and very easily as there is a back exit!

Snorkelling Trip - $27
|
Very good value. The trip takes you to the edge of the reef for 2 hours and 3 snorkelling places.
Loads of big snapper follow the boat as they know they are going to get fed - the guy then feeds them while you snorkel with them and there are hundred all round your head which can feel a bit claustrophobic but is pretty cool.
We also saw a turtle and loads of colourfish fish and coral.
Would definately recomment doing a trip rather than just snorkelling off the beach.
